A New Apron!

I love designing and sewing. Yesterday I decided to make a new apron with a vintage flair. I still had some yardage of that feedsack fabric left and thought it would fit the design perfectly.

Here's the finished apron.

There are yellow sashes on each side in the back that match the ruffle at the bottom. I'll add pockets later. After all, what's an apron without pockets?

Sissy's kittens will be two weeks old this Sunday.

They're growing like weeds.

  1. Hi Robin!

The apron looks really pretty. I can remember making aprons with and without bibs years ago and I used to give them as presents at Christmas and birthdays but sadly now, women don't wear them here anymore.
I like the picture of the kitties who obviously don't have a care in the world.

  2. Hi Grandma!

Aprons are once again becoming in fashion. I see pattern books for them in lots of sewing shops now. That may be an idea to look into once more. I love vintage looking aprons.

Yes, those little critters have done nothing but eat and sleep. I can't wait to touch them but we've decided to wait until they're walking around first.
